2023 Ropeless Consortium Annual Meeting

Hybrid Meeting
We anticipate the 2023 meeting being held at the Halifax Convention Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on October 23rd.

Meeting Format
In-person capacity limits will be strictly enforced and therefore early registration is strongly recommended for those who wish to participate in person.

The Annual Meeting will feature both live and pre-recorded presentations from both onsite and remote participants.

All registered participants (in-person and remote) will have a unique login to the meeting site which will allow for access to view all of the pre-recorded presentations that should be viewed in advance of the meeting. Participants will also have an opportunity to submit questions/comments in advance of the meeting as well as live during the meeting.

The live meeting will consist of live presentations from in-person and remote participants as well as Q&A sessions with presenters (both live and pre-recorded/viewed) in each of the topic sessions. All presenters from each session will be live on stage and/or on screen to take questions that were submitted in advance of the meeting, as well as those submitted live via chat module and in person. Each Q&A session will be moderated by a Board member.

The Ropeless Board is working to explore options for live and remote breakout sessions and those details will be shared once finalized.

COVID-19 Considerations

While we are moving forward with an in-person meeting, the reality is that we remain in a global pandemic. As such, we will monitor trends and recommendations from city, state, and federal agencies related to in person gatherings. We anticipate having onsite precautionary measures that may include, but are not limited to, required masks and social distancing.

Additionally - while we are hopeful that this will not be the case, we cannot rule out a necessary shift to a fully remote meeting should infection and transmission trends dictate such. We will do our best to make that determination early, however, participants should be aware of this possibility and plan travel accordingly.

Code of Conduct

The Ropeless Consortium is dedicated to providing a positive and productive conference experience for all attendees. To that end, we expect meeting attendees to abide by our Code of Conduct.

Videotaping, audiotaping, and photography of and during the Ropeless Consortium Annual Meeting are prohibited.
